We are pleased to invite you to the latest in our series of 'New Square Thursdays' breakfast seminars on Thursday 11th October at The Old Government House Hotel.

The seminar will be chaired by Aidan Briggs. Other members of our Trusts & Estates team will also be in attendance.

Rescuing Trust Blunders - a practitioner’s toolkit
This seminar focuses on the many and varied ways to salvage situations where successfully constituted trusts have gone wrong, whether through clerical error, innocent mistake or downright negligence. It brings delegates up to date on the most recent caselaw on construction, rectification and the court’s equitable powers to perfect invalid actions. In particular, it addresses defective appointments of successive trustees and how to put trusts back on a secure footing.
  • Latest authorities on rectification and how it is applied in practice
  • Tactical approaches to historic errors
  • Conflicts of interest which arise when adviser-trustees are involved

We hope you will be able join us for coffee, bacon rolls and lively conversation to start off the morning!
