Offshore work & other areas
Offshore and international work We are regularly instructed to advise on and appear in cases abroad. In the last five years members of New Square Chambers have been involved in many of the largest offshore and international cases including the Poyiadjis Litigation, the Grupo Torras claims, RBG Resources, IPOC, Alfa Telecom; the Alhamrani litigation and the Weissfisch Litigation. Chambers' work abroad involves a wide variety of types of case: as well as offshore trust matters (contentious and otherwise), we deal with civil fraud, commercial contracts, insolvency, company law, proceeds of crime and property claims. In these and other cases we also deal with conflicts of laws issues and challenges to jurisdiction. We are used to working with lawyers in other jurisdictions either directly or through solicitors in England and Wales and in the large litigation teams that major multinational litigation often requires.
