Claire Staddon acts and advises in contentious and potentially contentious matters in the following principal fields:

Chancery including a wide range of land-based and land-related disputes, ownership of land, public and private rights in and over land, wills, intestacy, estates and Court of Protection matters, contractual disputes, disputes regarding sale of businesses and shares, partnership and forgery, fraud and undue influence.

Company and Commercial including directors' abuse of position and breach of duty, directors' disqualification, receiverships, shareholders' disputes, shareholders' agreements, unfair prejudice and members' winding-up, and a wide variety of commercial contracts and dealings.

Insolvency including winding-up, bankruptcy and administrations and challenges to transactions after insolvency.

Her work includes acting as a junior before a House of Lords Committee in relation to a proposed Parliamentary Bill to allow a Local Authority to use Lincoln's Inn Fields for private functions, in a number of local public inquiries relating to part of the South Downs Way and in a number of Administrative Court actions.
