John Ross Martyn

Called to the Bar in 1969, John Ross Martyn has a general chancery practice. His main focus is on:
John is joint editor of the two leading legal textbooks "Theobald on Wills" (16th ed 2001) and "Williams, Mortimer and Sunnucks on Executors, Administrators and Probate" (19th ed 2007). He also contributes periodical articles to The Conveyancer, The Trusts and Estates Law and Tax Journal, Trust Quarterly Review and Trusts and Trustees. He is a member of the editorial board for Wills and Trusts Law Reports. He is a qualified arbitrator and mediator and regularly conducts mediations. John is a Bencher of Lincoln's Inn. He also sat as a Recorder in the Central London County Court from 1993 to 2008, trying Chancery cases among others. John also has a long standing connection with Octagon House Chambers in Norwich.
