  • Overview

Lynton Tucker is one of the leading Chancery Juniors in the UK. He has twice been awarded the accolade of ‘Leading Junior of the Year’ by the Legal 500 Bar Awards, 2020 and 2021. Lynton’s unrivalled knowledge of trusts law and long experience makes him the equal of any silk in the field.

His practice is largely in the field of trusts, wills and estates. He advises on and litigates in the areas of family, charitable, pension, commercial, unit and employee trusts.

Lynton advises on the effect of UK taxation on UK and overseas trusts and estates and other aspects of inheritance and capital gains tax.

Lynton also advises and litigates in company law matters, particularly in the field of unfair prejudice claims, the duties of directors and protection of minority shareholders.

A substantial part of his practice is offshore and concerns trusts, estates and companies in the Channel Islands, BVI, Cayman Islands, Bahamas and Hong Kong.

He is the Senior Editor of the seminal text Lewin on Trusts, now in its 20th edition (2020). Penelope Reed KC notes in Private Client Business 2020 that “No trust practitioner in any part of the world where there are trusts should even consider practising without this edition by his or her side.”
