Moreno de la Hija v Sir Christopher Lee

10th November 2016

Chancery Division

The Claimant sought to enforce a Spanish judgment against Sir Christopher (of Dracula and Harry Potter fame) against his assets in England invoking the European Enforcement Order Regulation (805/2004). Before his death, Sir Christopher had applied successfully to the Master in England for a stay of enforcement despite not having applied for or shown grounds for a stay in the court of origin.

Master Eastman

An application for revocation of the Master’s order is continuing having been transferred from QB to the Chancery Division and is likely to be followed by an application under section 421A Insolvency Act for an insolvency administration order.
